L’Épiphanie de Saint-Émilion 2018
Presenting an exquisite Saint-Emilion from the spectacular 2018 vintage. It’s the latest in our L’Epiphanie series – secret releases from famous châteaux, bottled under a private label. Sumptuous wines at great prices, if we don’t name the source.
Velvety with red plum and cassis; touches of red cherry and spice
Violets, red fruit, a hint of leafy spice
The L’Epiphanie series is all about getting the best wines in your glass at the very best prices. We’ve been working in Bordeaux for over half a lifetime and we’ve drawn on half a century’s worth of goodwill to source this spectacular wine. It also helps that our Bordeaux buyer and chief winemaker, Jean-Marc Sauboua, was born and bred in Bordeaux. Although we can’t name the world renowned château that made this wine, we can say if you bought a bottle of their first wine, you wouldn’t get much change from £100. And thanks to that amazing vintage, you’ll enjoy extra depth of flavour. Firm, yet yielding; rich, yet balanced; the quality is evident from your very first sip. Ripe red fruit with subtle tannins, a delight with roasts and cheeses.
