Château Vieux MoulinLussac-Saint-Émilion 2016
Appealing, fruit forward Saint Emilion from its satellite Lussac
appellation, now with four years’ age. Enjoy subtle red fruits, with
earthy leafy spice and silky tannins. An elegant Right Bank Bordeaux and
an excellent food wine. A classic.
Gentle, supple fruit with elegance and length

Lussac Saint Emilion is where the whole wine story started for Tony
Laithwaite in 1965. First as a student, then in 1969 when he returned
and finally started a business. He was always charmed by the silky
ripe fruit and elegance of its wines. Subtle reds, not for easy
glugging, but ideal with roast
meats in particular. Today the
charm of the wines is all still
there, with an extra layer of fruit

modern
techniques. This is a silky,
Merlot based claret, its vines
planted on classic clay and
limestone soils. Hand harvesting
and careful vinification captures
the wine’s deep fruit, while a year
in seasoned barrels lends
complexity. With four years’ age,
this claret makes a great partner
